Boss Katana 100 MkII Guitar Amp Head

The latest in a long line of successful amps, the Boss Katana 100 MkII Guitar Amp Head adds to the brilliant reputation of the Katana Series. This versatile amp head offers some great sound-shaping tools and lets you project them with some serious power. You can use its hundred-watt output section to amplify your existing modellers and preamps or build your tones from scratch.

The Boss Katana 100 MkII Head features output connections that support cab-emulation and monitoring, a brilliant feature that lets you feed out your sound directly into recording devices or PA speakers without the need for a cab - even the headphones and USB connection will do this, so you can easily generate your favourite tones in silent environments. Multi-channel footswitch support provides hands-free remote access to your sounds, including a comprehensive library of 60 timeless Bosseffects via the Boss Tone Studio editor. 

This brilliant amp head provides you with a selection of five different amp characters, access to a plethora of customisable effects and support for electro-acoustics. It also features an adjustable Power Control which enables you to generate fully-cranked tones at low-volume - brilliant for recording or practice situations.

You get a Power Amp In(put) so you can utilise all 100 watts of the Class A/B power section for use with your own pre-amps or floor units. A Stereo Expand provides some amazing stereo effects such as delay and reverb that track across dual cabs. There are some great new amp models — the Mk1’s original five amp models plus new variations that expand the scope of sounds you can achieve. The Katana MkII also features the updated and improved Boss Tone Studio - an onboard, easy to use sound editing suite that enables you to customise your sound and gives you access to 60 Boss effects, channel-specific EQs, adjustable routing, and much more.

The Katana MkII supports 60 Boss effects and gives you comprehensive control over them via intuitive dials and colour-coded buttons. You can customise your effects and settings by connecting the head to your computer via USB. The Tone Studio software allows you to create your own setup or download setup templates created by various pro guitarists for the Boss Tone Studio. 

With five distinct amp voicings to choose from, you’ll never need to go far to find the sound you want. There's Clean, Crunch and Lead, a chunky metal “Brown” setting derived from the Boss Waza amplifier, and an Acoustic mode that will really let your electro-acoustic sing.
