Each string is made from high carbon steel wire and coated with “XT” - an advanced corrosion-resistant treatment that protects the string from grease and grime, so it stays vibrant for much longer. The joy of this treatment is that, unlike some other string coatings, it does not hinder the natural tone or feel of the string.
