The DW Collector’s Series 14 x 6.5" Bell Brass Snare Drum features a beautiful heavy-gauge shell that generates a full-bodied, warm tone and an attack like a lightning strike. This thickness of the brass alloy also helps to create musical high-end overtones and project them with precise and focused clarity.

This snare is kitted out with decadent chrome hardware that highlights the buttercup hue of the brass and gives the drum a decadent appearance. This hardware includes DW’s proprietary Turret lugs, True-Hoop 3.0mm triple-flanged hoops and ever-reliable True-Pitch tension rods. DW’s advanced 3P butt plate and high-quality throw off provides premium performance and keeps your snare tension stable and consistent.

With a heavier shell than most beaded-style brass snares, this heavy-gauge brass alloy shell has body and low-midrange frequencies than its lighter-gauge counterparts, but still retains the same brassy high-end attack - in fact, the crack of this snare is fantastic, with a cutting power that could cleanly slice through diamond.  With great levels of power and projection, a broad tonal spectrum and a classy focused sound, this snare will perform well in both studio and live settings.
