The Electro-Voice RE420 Condenser Cardioid Vocal Microphone is a pro-quality condenser cardioid vocal microphone designed to relay every detail of your vocal performance with outstanding clarity. 

The RE420 delivers a rich, full-bodied sound with natural mids, warm lows and a bright, crisp high end.   The cardioid pattern provides excellent acoustic isolation. Maximum feedback rejection occurs when a stage monitor is positioned 180° off-axis to the element. This pattern also allows for a comfortable working range around the microphone making expressive microphone techniques easy.

A multi-stage pop filter ensures a high degree of noise reduction. The filter's clever design involves an air pocket sandwiched between two layers of dense foam. This does a brilliant job of attenuating any wind velocity caused by breath and wind blasts. The high-pass filter has two positions - flat for a full frequency band pass of the capsule and high-pass for attenuating frequencies below 150 Hz.

The RE420 also features an internal shock mount that exclusively isolates the mics element from any vibration and drastically reduces handling noise.
