By using top-quality components from the Gibson Custom Shop, this guitar eschews any “off the peg” vibes and feels truly unique. With Solid Mahogany and Maple tonewoods,  A "VOS-like" aged gloss finish and premium pots and hardware, this is as close to the real-deal ‘59 model as you can get for this kind of money.

True to the original late-'50s Les Paul, the body of this Epiphone 1959 Les Paul Standard is expertly crafted from rich, resonant, full-weight Mahogany and topped with exquisite solid AAA flame Maple with an attractive natural figuring. The Maple’s snappy, vibrant properties complement the richness of the Mahogany exceptionally well. A 24.75"-scale Mahogany neck has been shaped to a medium "C" profile and features a 12"-radius fingerboard with medium-jumbo frets - all period-correct for an authentic ‘59 experience. 

Gibson's USA-made Burstbucker pickups do a fine job of recreating the vintage PAF tones the ‘59 is famous for. The Epiphone 1959 Les Paul Standard’s Burstbuckers have truly been well-installed to ensure high-performance and longevity. Using A-grade Custom Shop wiring and components, these Burstbuckers have been wired into a set of Mallory 150 polyester film caps, which combined with CTS pots and a Switchcraft toggle and jack, ensures that these electronics will always sound amazing while generating their authentic ‘59 tone.

The Epiphone 1959 Les Paul Standard wears a coating of aged gloss finish that does a great job of capturing the vibe that the Vintage Original Spec finishes of American-made Gibson's exude.  It also features period-correct non-bevelled plastics, a back "Custom Shop" Epiphone badge and comes complete with a protective hardshell case.
