Epiphone Les Paul Studio LT Electric Guitar - Ebony

The Epiphone Les Paul Studio LT is a fantastic budget-friendly version of the 80’s Gibson classic. Recognising that studio sessions musicians coveted the much-sought-after LP sound and performance but were wary of the price tag, Gibson strip-backed much of the LP’s cosmetic flair and left only the bare necessities, creating a sound and performance-focused guitar with a cheaper ticket price, and aptly named it the Les Paul Studio.

Epiphone has taken this design ethos a step further and have managed to wring out even more superfluous features. By carefully selecting more economical alternatives for components, they have created a brilliant low-cost guitar that won't break the bank whilst retaining the amazing qualities you would expect from a Les Paul.

This guitar is expertly constructed from a carved-top Mahogany body with a bolt-on 24.75” scale Mahogany neck that is capped with a Rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays. To increased comfort, the arch-topped body is slimmer than the original Studio and features a tapered neck joint for smooth playability and easy access to the upper frets. 

Epiphone’s Les Paul Studio LT’s recreates its forebears' classic tone using two Zebra Coil Ceramic Humbuckers. These brilliant pickups feature black and white “Zebra” bobbins that have been left exposed, resulting in better bass response and magnetic pull. These ceramic pickups produce a tight low-end with a smooth mid-range and more top-end tone than their alnico counterparts. This Les Paul Studio LT is fitted with a 650R at the bridge and a 700T at the neck, each of which is controlled by their own volume and tone pots and an all-metal 3-way pickup switch.

This expertly-crafted instrument comes in a sleek and glossy Ebony finish and features all-nickel hardware including a LockTone Tune-o-matic bridge and Stopbar tailpiece, a non-rotating ¼” output jack, and premium die-cast 14:1 ratio machine heads. You will be hard pushed to find a better value for money introduction to the LP fan club.
