The Epiphone Thunderbird IV is constructed of a Mahogany body with a bolt-on 34”-scale Maple neck featuring 20 frets and a silky-smooth Rosewood fingerboard. The body is weighted very well, and is shaped in the soft ‘reverse-body’ style one can only attribute to a Thunderbird.

The Thunderbird IV has a rather unique and interesting pickup configuration. It pulls away from the usual neck pickup position and places it pickups at the middle and bridge. This effectively cleans up the tone and allows you more control over the thundering growls and punchy attack. There's a volume knob for each pickup and a master tone knob, providing you with the options you need to blend and shape your preferred sound.

The Epiphone Thunderbird IV is a very capable bass with a good high output and a broad range of tones. It is lightweight, comfortable, and quite frankly one of the coolest bass guitars ever - and at this extremely low price, you’d be a fool not to get your hands on one.
