Evans EC2 12” Frosted Tom Drum Head

The Evans EC2 12” Frosted Tom Drum Head is constructed from two plies of 7mil film that provide a superior quality of tone and an optimized attack. Each drum head comes fitted with Evans’ proprietary Sound Shaping Technology (SST) that “pre’EQ’s” your sound. An SST Edge Control ring is mounted on the underside of each head and optimises its sound in accordance to its diameter. This brilliant tech helps this head to generate the best possible tone and well-matched levels of sustain, as well as providing easy and consistent tuning. Instead of eliminating edge vibration, the Edge Control ring instead controls it, isolating and damping higher overtones. Finally, a frosted coating increases this heads low-end response and enhances its attack.

The Evans EC2 12” Frosted Tom Drum Head also features Evans’ unique Level 360 Technology. Unlike other heads, Level 360 heads have roll-over rims that feature a steeper collar, ensuring the most balanced contact with the bearing edge of the shell. This allows for optimised head-shell contact and a better fitting head, resulting in a drum that will be easier to tune and hold its tuning better.
