Faith ‘The Twenty’ Neptune Cutaway Electro Acoustic Guitar

To commemorate its 20 years of master luthiery, Faith has created a small range of top-spec limited edition acoustics with original Legacy body shapes - and this model, ‘The Twenty’ Neptune Cutaway Electro Acoustic Guitar, is a beautiful baby-jumbo that embodies all of Faith’s expertise.

The Twenty’s ‘Neptune’-style ergonomic contours are based upon the highly acclaimed ‘Saluda’ body shape designed by Patrick James Eggle, a renowned and accomplished Luthier whose works have helped establish Faith as one of the UK’s premier acoustic manufacturers. The Neptune’s baby-jumbo dimensions do a fine job of generating a full, voluminous sound yet are less cumbersome than a full-sized jumbo, allowing for a very comfortable playing experience indeed.

The body of this fine guitar is crafted from a combination of solid premium, book-matched Indian Rosewood back and sides and a fine Canadian Sitka Spruce top, finished with a perfectly-applied coat of lacquer. The Canadian Sitka Spruce has been kiln-aged to stabilise its structural integrity and mature its sound, allowing all of its rich, mellow voice and unique golden grain to unfurl - something that might take decades to occur naturally. The Sitka top is very well complemented by the premium-graded Indian Rosewood which has been painstakingly book-matched for a consistent tone and a stunning aesthetic. Along with support provided by a Patrick James Eggle-designed hand-scalloped quarter-sawn Spruce X-bracing, this tonewood combo delivers a fantastic tone with sparkling highs and a warm, rich bass.

The top of The Twenty features a stylish abalone shell edging and its back is bound with figured solid Koa, finely inlaid with premium abalone. Abalone is also used to add lustre to the headstocks ‘Faith’ logo, which is accompanied by Patrick James Eggle’s signature inlay. The Twenty’s bolt-on Mahogany neck has a wonderfully smooth feel thanks to an expertly-applied satin finish, designed to allow its grain to shine both tonally and aesthetically. It is topped by a Macassan figured Ebony fingerboard - the same wood used for the pickguard and the bridge - which features a glorious hand-inlaid Abalone and Mother of Pearl Tree of Life Inlay at the 11th, 12th & 13th Fret, designed by Sean de Burca.

The accoutrements are given no less attention; fine-quality components have been used to finish The Twenty’s high-end spec and bolster its robust, reliable performance. You’ll find it kitted with Grover Deluxe 18:1 Nickel machine heads, Natural Bone bridge pins, a 5mm Abalone rosette with a fibre border, and an unbleached Bone nut. This guitar is also presented in one of Faith’s premium hard cases.

The Twenty’s natural power and tone is a force unto itself, but of course, there are occasions when additional oomph is required. To help enhance your onstage presence, Faith has equipped The Twenty with a top-of-the-line Fishman Matrix-T-Blend pickup system featuring a condenser microphone and an acclaimed ‘MATRIX’ under-saddle pickup. This unit is discretely housed in the guitar’s upper bout, providing easy access to its EQ and volume controls and handy built-in tuner.
