In recent years, access to better materials combined with a rise in build quality has considerably reduced the quality gap between Mexican and American-made guitars, resulting in a much better value-to-cost ratio - a saving that Fender passes on to you. 

This immediately recognisable Strat body shape is crafted to original spec from solid Alder. Alder produces a well-balanced mix of mid-range, smooth low-end and rich highs that form the ideal tonal foundation upon which to base the iconic Stratocaster sound. A bolt-on Maple neck adds a touch of top-end sparkle that adds a bit of shine to this Strat’s sonic spectrum. This neck is shaped to a modern-style ‘C’ profile which balances comfort with slick ease of use. This particular model also features a Maple fingerboard which is home to 22 jumbo frets rather than the classic 21 frets of Mexican models, bringing it even closer in line with American-made models.

A trio of Player Series Alnico-5 single-coil Strat pickups has been used to add a modern tweak to the Player Stratocasters' otherwise traditional sound. Pickup selection is controlled by a five-way switch, while a perfectly positioned volume knob and two dedicated tone knobs allow you to shape your ideal sound. This Fender Player Strat also has a 2-point tremolo (a feature usually only seen on Fender’s pricier guitars) that enables you to produce some amazing vibrato sounds.
