Gibson ES-335 Satin Electric Guitar - Satin Vintage Burst

For over 60 years, the Gibson ES-335 has remained an extremely popular guitar and was the original Gibson thinline archtop electric guitar whose design spawned many of their subsequent models - it is the Godfather of them all. This Gibson ES-335 Satin Electric Guitar is a fantastic modern-made version of the classic design. It captures all of its character while generating its infamous rock sound and keeps a bluesy edge and a country jangle in its pockets should you want to dial them in.

Before the ES-335, all Gibson guitars were hollow-bodies up until the arrival of the legendary solid-body Les Paul, and the ES-335’s semi-hollow design followed, bridging the gap between the two different body styles. This ES-335’s back, top and sides are crafted from a 3-ply Maple/Poplar/Maple combo and house a solid Maple centre block that increases tonal warmth and sustain whilst reducing the amount of feedback that a solid-body might generate. The Mahogany neck’s rounded ”C”-profile is extremely comfortable and the pearloid dot-inlaid Rosewood fingerboard provides such a smooth playing experience you’ll be reluctant to ever stop playing. Each of the 22 frets has been optimised using the revolutionary Plek Pro technology, a high-end process that levels the frets with extreme accuracy. 

The Gibson ES-335 Satin is equipped with calibrated T-Type humbucking pickups with their own volume and tone controls, allowing you to blend your desired sound. Dial-in the neck pickup for jazz and bluesy sounds and flick to the bridge for chiming clean or dirty, gritty overdrive - and when you crank these pickups out of a tube amp and they really hit their full potential. These great pickups are supported by Gibson’s hand-wired control assembly.
