Gibson Les Paul ‘70s Deluxe Electric Guitar - '70s Cherry Sunburst

In a sea of modernised versions of their classic models, the Gibson Les Paul ‘70s Deluxe Electric Guitar prefers to keep it real and offers the player a playing experience much more in keeping with authentic traditional LP Deluxe. This is a solid, heavyweight guitar made from Mahogany and Maple, just as they were back in the early ‘70s, and a set of mini-humbuckers provides the same vibrant, crystal-clear tones.

Much like the original Les Paul Deluxe, this guitar’s Maple-capped Mahogany body possesses the kind of warmth and richness that only a truly solid - and non-weight relieved body can. This thick, well-balanced tone and full-bodied resonance is a direct result of this tonewood combination, while a Mahogany neck and Rosewood fingerboard add their tuppence-worth of flavour to balance the overall blend. The Maple top is a thing of beauty, framed by stylish cream binding that continues up and around the fingerboard. 

The Deluxe's Mahogany neck and Indian Rosewood fingerboard provide an authentic vintage feel; substantial in hand with silky-smooth action. The neck's rounded “C” profile and the fretboard's 12”-radius makes for a very versatile playing platform, ideal for everything from beefy chordwork to wailing solos. Another great authentic vintage touch is the use of a nitrocellulose lacquer finish which used to come standard on old-school LP’s. This nitro finish not only looks great, but its thin-layered application process allows the tonewood beneath to breathe and their tonal qualities to shine. 

This Les Paul Deluxe ‘70s guitar is a fine homage to the original and goes to great lengths to recreate its awesome tone - which of course, would not be possible without the inclusion of a pair of mini humbuckers. These dynamic little pickups were first developed to fulfil the needs of players who sought the brightness and clarity of P-90 pickups with the same hum-free properties of a humbucker. This creates a clear, vibrant sound ideal for both stage and studio use. These amazing pickups are supported by Orange Drop capacitors and hand-wiring throughout, ensuring a fullness of tone that shines at any volume.
