Gibson has overcome this problem on the Les Paul Classic by featuring their 9-hole weight-relieving ‘Swiss-cheese’ body design which results in a huge reduction in weight without compromising any of its tone or resonance. The lighter weight of this Gibson Les Paul Classic gives you a more comfortable playing experience that helps to prolong performance and reduce fatigue. Your spine will thank you later.

This Classic also features an asymmetrical slim tapered Mahogany neck topped by a smooth Rosewood fingerboard that offers a high level of comfort that eases tension and reduces stress on the hand, making it easier to race around the fingerboard and riff to your heart's content. The Rosewood fingerboard possesses 22 medium-jumbo frets which have been optimally levelled using Plek Pro’s amazing technology. It's a brilliant procedure reserved for high-end guitars that is worth every penny - this fretboard feels super-comfortable and the process almost eliminates fret-buzz or intonation problems.

Gibson has gone to great lengths to accurately reproduce the sound of early PAF humbuckers. To recreate the classic tone of the original Les Paul guitars, Gibson has fitted this guitar with their fantastic Burstbucker pickups that produce those sweet musical highs and snarling humbucker sounds. This Classic features some great electronic switching options; convenient push/pull volume pots double up as coil tappers that allow you to isolate your pickups at the push or pull of a button, letting you change from single coil to humbucker instantly. The tone pots also feature the same push/pull functionality that offers control over phase-reversal and pure-bypass of the bridge pickup tone control.

Featuring a Tune-o-matic bridge, vintage-vibe Grover Rotomatic tuners, and spiffy gold top-hat knobs, this guitar oozes vintage appeal. The Gibson Les Paul Classic is a great homage to its early namesake that does a brilliant job of recreating the sought-after Gibson character whilst remaining relevant to the modern player.
