About DeliveryOh, snap. Gibson has only gone and (gold) topped themselves again. This Les Paul Standard '50s Gold Top Electric Guitar is a stunning addition to the collection, and a return to form of a legend.
The ‘50s birthed a wave of guitars with designs so pure that they are still relevant today, beloved by players the world over. Original Les Paul’s from that era still exist, but are financially out of reach for most mere mortals - but lucky for us, the Les Paul Standard '50s Gold Top delivers next-level authenticity for an affordable price.
This ‘50s Gold Top features a solid with its eponymous top crafted from premium Maple. Its sublimely rich tone is enhanced by a Mahogany neck, this time capped with a Rosewood fingerboard. This collection of tonewoods generates a full-bodied tone with a huge amount of sonic depth. The ‘50s-style neck profile is substantial in hand but far from cumbersome, and the fingerboard provides a next-level standard of smooth playability.
This guitars ‘50s Standard sound is brought to you by a pair of PAF-style Burstbucker pickups featuring Alnico II magnets. These outstandingly voiced pickups are controlled by 2 volume pots and 2 tone pots, hand-wired with Orange Drop capacitors.
This beautiful guitar also comes with an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, an aluminium stopbar tailpiece, vintage deluxe tuning machines, audio tapered pots, a period-correct nitrocellulose lacquer finish, beautiful cream binding, a hardshell case to keep it safe and sound and a Gibson Accessory Kit.
