Its ‘60s-style SlimTaper profile allows you to really get to grips with the neck and fly up and down the fretboard. Access to the high frets is made easy by the body's cutaway shape, which, together with that smooth neck, really enhance this guitar's performance. A rolled-edged Rosewood fretboard featuring Plek’d frets provides a perfect playing surface to perform fantastic bends and runs.

The SG Special’s tonal dexterity comes courtesy of a pair of brightly-voiced P-90 Single-Coil Pickups. These pickups have an incredibly versatile sound and are famed for their punchy character and the touch of rawness that underpins it. P-90s have cemented themselves in the annals of many-a musical genre's history - they simply seem to sound great, no matter what style you apply them to. Sweet, sweet, vintage tone. A three-position switch enables your choice between the neck, middle and bridge positions, giving you some great sonic variety. 

The SG Special also features a compensated wraparound bridge and vintage Kluson tuners that provide great tuning stability.
