This Ludwig Classic Maple Mod 22” 4-Piece Drum Shell Pack is an outstanding 2-up, 2-down kit in standard rock sizes. For over twenty years, the Classic Maple kit has been a popular choice for players thanks to its full-bodied tone, impeccable sustain, and impressive versatility - no matter the style of music, these drums will serve it well. 

Over a hundred years of drum-making experience is poured into the making of these tremendous shells, and they possess Ludwig’s signature sound in abundance. Each 6mm-thick shell is crafted from 100% high-grade North American  Maple in a particular configuration; a solid 3 layer core in a horizontal/vertical/horizontal grain pattern with an inner and outer layer each made up of two-ply panels. 

All Ludwig USA shells are crafted using Radio Frequency Shell Technology (R.F.S.T.), a specialised bonding system - unique to Ludwig - That utilises bladder moulds and proprietary curing adhesives to ensure an even bond across the surface of the shell that enhances tone and maximises strength. The Maple gives each shell a naturally bright sound with amazing sustain, a sound that adapts well to both modern and vintage styles. 

These shells feature a hand-sanded bearing edge cut to a 45-degree angle within 1/16" from the outside edge. This expands the shells’ tuning range and maximises sustain. A complement of high-quality completes each drum, designed to enhance the strength of the shell whilst providing a stunning aesthetic.
