Ludwig Classic Downbeat Maple 3-Piece Drum Shell Pack - Black Oyster

Ludwig have been a world class drum manufacturer since they first set up shop in 1909, and have been the backbeat of recordings from big bands and rock and roll until they got their first major break into the mainstream when Ringo Starr played a kit just like this stunning Black Oyster Downbeat on the now game-changing performance on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1964.

The 7-ply shells are crafted from high quality maple and produce a mesmerizing sound that'll be instantly familiar to you after the countless recordings these kits have been used on. With 45 degree bearing edges, the Downbeat has plenty of attack, strong resonating tom sounds with sensational glowing overtones.

A gorgeous Black Oyster wrap finish resembles that of Ringo Starr's very own kit from Beatles hayday and it's topped off with a vintage style Ludwig badge as the icing on the cake of this superbly classic style kit.
