The Mapex Armory 22” 6-Piece Short Stack Drum Shell Pack is a wonderful concoction of contradictions - a fantastic intermediate kit with a high-end sound and an amazingly low price. Constructed from a combination of Birch and Maple ply and possessing shallow “short-stack” depths, these shells have a crisp, vibrant attack underpinned by a warm, full-bodied swell.

With a two-up, two-down tom configuration, a thumping 22 x 18” bass drum and a wicked stainless steel 14 x 5.5” Tomahawk snare drum included, this is a huge amount of quality kit that will be appreciated by both beginners and experienced professionals.

Mapex’s SONIClear shell construction and hardware does an amazing job of maximising the Armory shell’s performance potential. For starters, each shell receives a SONIClear Bearing Edge that provides the perfect base for a drum head. Perfectly round and consistently level, the edge provides optimum contact with the head, improving the tuning range and keeping tension equal across the entire drum. It also allows these shallow heads to still have plenty of body and a strong, deep pitch for their size.

SONIClear technology has also been implemented on the rack tom mounts and floor tom legs in order to enhance shell resonance and allow your drums to sing to their fullest potential. These low-contact mounting options let the drums vibrate and create the best possible tone. This 6-piece shell pack comes with two TH800 Tom Holders only - all other hardware, cymbals and accessories sold separately.
