About DeliveryThe Mapex Black Panther 'Hydro' certainly lives up to its name; it has a malleable fluidity to its energy yet can also be a devastating, solid force, and its sound is as deep and dark as the ocean depths.
This 13 x 7" snare drum features a 6-Ply 5.1mm shell crafted from Maple, a bright tonewood which, along with its smaller diameter, creates a sharp, cutting attack. The shell is enhanced with 4-ply 4mm thick Walnut reinforcement rings for next-level structural stability and sonic density. It features Mapex’s SONIClear bearing edges - a rounded 45° centre cut and SONIClear 3/8" outer cut - and Sonic Saver hoops which combined, keep your heads singing with a fine voice. In-line locking B-Lugs and a stable cylinder-drive strainer also help to keep your sound dialled in and held consistently.
