Meinl Byzance Dual Cymbal Pack

The Meinl Byzance Dual Cymbal Pack is a set of sparky cymbals with an extremely dry character. This set of four Extra Dry Dual cymbals offers a distinctive array of dynamic sounds to suit a huge amount of different musical styles, all the while doing so with a beautifully raw, dry voice.

This pack contains a perfectly balanced selection of cymbals from Meinl’s Extra Dry Dual range. These “hybrid” cymbals each feature dual finishes on their surface; a raw bell and centre ring helps bring out a raspy, dry element that is contrasted and complemented by the brightness of their clean, lathed edges. This dual-zone surface allows you to explore different sticking sounds depending on where you strike the surface and also gives these cymbals their unique, dry character. This pack includes a pair of 14" Hi-Hats, a 14" Multi Trash, a 16" Crash and a 20" Crash Ride.

The Meinl Byzance Extra Dry Dual 14" Hi-Hats are raw and intense with minimal sustain which is perfect for clean, precise sticking. Precise but never abrupt, these hats possess the right amount of both fierce attack and considered, stayed wash to cover many styles of music. The Meinl Byzance Extra Dry Dual 14" Multi Trash shares the same kind of deep, sharp tonal qualities as the hats, but its open-hole design and small diameter give it a trashy quality that serves well as both an expressive crash and a bold splash - very versatile indeed. 

With the crisp, vibrant attack covered by the hats and trash-crash, the Meinl Byzance Extra Dry Dual 16” Crash provides a more solid, earthy punch that is more prominent when played with less intensity. Mind you, it's still capable of a fierce roar when you open it up. The Meinl Byzance 20" Extra Dry Dual Crash Ride serves a similar purpose, providing the set with a good solid - yet still raw and earthy - fundamental tone, but has a very versatile dynamic range. All of these cymbals are just as rich in tone when played at lower volumes as they are when pushed hard, giving you a huge amount of width and depth to explore in your performance.
