Meinl Byzance Extra Dry 12" Splash Cymbal - Raw Finish

This Meinl Byzance Extra Dry 12" Splash Cymbal is a real treat, and we’ve been bowled over at Wembley Music Centre. Despite its unusual appearance with its unlathed top, at first glance, this cymbal looks just like a splash. When you get playing, though, you can tell that it is so much more.

We 10” Meinl Byzance Extra Dry Splash here at Wembley Music Centre, but we didn’t expect such a difference when we played the 12”. Just like its smaller counterpart, this splash cymbal is incredibly crisp with a punchy attack. However, though the sustain is still short, this 12” splash rings out just that little bit more to allow you to groove with it and achieve that washy sound. The overall character is dark and dry, which lends itself to all kinds of genres. What is impressive, however, is that despite the overarching darker tone, all the frequencies right across the spectrum are present, which grants this splash authority and sophistication. And with the unlathed finish, this cymbal looks raw, exciting and unique, and is bound to fit neatly into your setup.
