The Pearl Decade Maple 22” 5-Piece Rock Kit is a popular choice for intermediate players. Not only is this a powerful set of drums with a focused sound, but it also represents amazing value. This configuration of the kit comes in ‘Rock’ sizes - a 22 x 18” Bass Drum, 14 x 5.5” Snare, 10 x 7” Tom, 12 x 8” Tom and a 16 x 16” floor tom. To ensure maximum value for money, Pearl has also seen fit to round this kit out with a hardware pack that includes cymbal stands, a hi-hat and snare stand and a bass drum pedal.  This means that all you will need to add to this kit is a throne, some cymbals and some sticks and you will be ready to rock. 

This kit owes its concise, clear highs and meaty lows to Pearl’s Superior Shell Technology. This innovative manufacturing process employs the use of high-temp moulds and an incredible 1000 PSI of hydraulic pressure to shape and seal the form of the shells. Much like the principle of diamond formation, this monumental application of heat and pressure instils a huge degree of strength and structural integrity into the shells, ensuring they stay in shape and consistently produce their sweet tone.

The inclusion of Pearl’s Opti-Loc Suspension Mounting system really allows these drums the freedom to sing to their full potential. To express their optimum voice, drum shells need to be able to resonate unhindered, with as little choking or dampening as possible. In order to keep contact low, the Opti-Loc Mounting system holds the toms securely in place at two tuning rods and one air vent, and this minimum contact approach and the use of rubber vibration isolators keep your drum resonating as freely as is possible. 

These drums perform brilliantly, and also look fantastic - featuring a high-quality, sumptuous Satin Brown Burst finish that harmonises with this kit’s raw, warm sound.
