The Pearl Export is a name that every drummer knows. Having maintained its position as one of the most impressive entry-level kits on the market for many years, this legend has been behind the start of thousands of drumming careers, and it might just be the one that kickstarts yours.

The Export’s shells are crafted from a hybrid of Asian Mahogany and Poplar, which, while being impressively affordable, really sound amazing. The low fundamental pitch of  Asian Mahogany is ideal for bass drums, while its sustain helps to bring the toms to life.  Poplar brightens up the tone and helps the sound to cut through the mix while adding a warmth to the toms and the snare. Pearl uses its Superior Shell Technology (SST) to create the Export’s drum shells. This fantastic manufacturing process combines 1000lbs of hydraulic pressure, precision-cut scarf joints and strategic arrangement of the shell plies for optimal sonic performance.

Great care has gone into its design to ensure that this kit resonates to its full potential, resulting in its full, open sound. The rack toms are equipped with Opti-Loc Tom Mounts, which use only two minimal contact points to secure the drum which in turn allows it to let them resonate as openly as possible, so you can hear the full tone of the drum when played at any volume.

Pearl’s vision for the Export has always been for it to inspire, and so they have equipped it with everything you need to start playing. A hardware and cymbals pack have been carefully selected to suit the kit perfectly and get you grooving. The hardware features uni-lock tilters and double-braced legs for a great range of positioning options and incredible stability. The cymbals are from Sabian’s SBR series - 14” hi-hats, a 16” crash and a 20” ride cymbal all deliver a well-balanced mix of power and focus.
