Pearl Masters MCT 20” 4-Piece Jazz Drum Shell Pack - Chrome Contrail Finish

Pearl’s Masters Maple Complete drums are considered to be the ideal gigging kit by hard-working drummers of all standards. This shell pack features four high-quality North American Maple shells shaped by Pearl’s EvenPly 6 shell process; 6 layers of ply that possess a fine balance of power, warmth, and tonal purity. This shell pack comes in jazz sizes - a 20 x 14” bass drum, 14 x 12” floor tom, 12 x 8” rack tom and a 10 x 7” rack tom, all in a stunning Chrome Contrail finish.

Thanks to their reduced-thickness and cross-laminated ply construction, these MCT shells are rich in tonal clarity and instilled with the same impressive resonance of Pearl’s Masters MMX series, but with the high-energy attack and power of their MRX series. 45° bearing edges provide minimal shell-to-head contact for enhanced projection and resonance, and each shell’s thin (yet strong) construction allows for strong, booming lows and a forceful, bright attack.

Each mounted tom is fitted with Pearl’s OptiMount Suspension System. Designed to provide the best possible support without choking the drum, these brilliant low-contact mounts attach to the tom’s tension rods, eliminating direct contact with the shell. This results in rock-solid stability while allowing the shell to resonate to its full potential and ultimately generate the best possible tone it is capable of.

The toms are fitted with triple-flanged SuperHoop II hoops to help focus tone, while Classic Bridge Lugs have a low-contact design for maximised resonance. The 20 x 14” undrilled bass drum features stylish, matching wood hoops, a set of ultra-sturdy SP-30 spurs and possesses a monstrous low-end thump that you can control with the included full-size bass drum muffling pillow.
