As the name suggests, the groove ride is a cymbal designed to be groovy. Fairly dark tone and a somewhat dry sound leads to the Sabian HHX 21" Groove Ride Cymbal being a very percussive, rhythmic and remarkably playable cymbal that compliments funk and groove genres to a tee. When you really play hard upon this ride you'll find the cymbal gives out a hot and toneful shimmering, but not overpowering, after wash makes it easy to control and super reliable. The bell is unpolished, giving it a distinctive, strong, dry presense that further links in with the rhythmic nature of the cymbal.
