Ordering Online & Security

Shopping using a card is an accepted way to pay for goods or services. We are all comfortable with handing our card to a shop assistant or waiter, or giving our card details to someone on the other end of the telephone. For many people however putting card details into a web site is still uncomfortable, as we are not sure what is happening to the information we are submitting or where it is going.

We respect your privacy. Any personal information we collected from you is solely for the purpose of completing your order and providing service and support to you. We will request your name, e-mail address, phone number, mailing address, credit card number, and expiration date. We will use this information to complete the order and notify you of your order status. Any information you provide is protected and will not be sold, traded or rented to third parties. The information is for our private use only to assist us complete your order. Any cookies used such as 'Google Conversion Tracking' are for monitoring marketing campaigns only.

All online orders are processed through Sage Pay. As a payment service provider (PSP), thousands of businesses outsource their transaction security to Sage Pay. It is our top priority to ensure that our customers’ transaction data is kept secure at all times.

System Security

Sage Pay’s systems are scanned quarterly by Trustwave which is an independent Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) and an Approved Scanning Vendor (ASV) for the payment card brands.

Sage pay is also audited annually under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) and is a fully approved Level 1 payment services provider, which is the highest level of compliance. They are also active members of the PCI Security Standards Council (SSC) that defines card industry global regulation.

Transaction Security

All transaction information passed between merchant sites and Sage Pay’s systems is encrypted using 128-bit SSL certificates. No cardholder information is ever passed unencrypted and any messages sent to your servers from Sage Pay are signed using MD5 hashing to prevent tampering. You can be completely assured that nothing you pass to Sage Pay’s servers can be examined, used or modified by any third parties attempting to gain access to sensitive information.

Encryption and data storage

Once on our systems, all sensitive data is secured using the same internationally recognised 256-bit encryption standards used by, among others, the US Government. The encryption keys are held on state-of-the-art, tamper proof systems in the same family as those used to secure VeriSign's Global Root certificate, making them all but impossible to extract. The data we hold is extremely secure and we are regularly audited by the banks and banking authorities to ensure it remains so.

Privacy Notice

To prevent or detect fraud, or to assist in verifying your identity we may make searches about you at credit reference agencies who will supply us with information, including information from the Electoral Register, for the purpose of verifying your identity. The agencies will record details of the search whether or not this application proceeds. The searches will not be seen or used by lenders to assess your ability to obtain credit.
