This is thanks to its cardioid polar pickup pattern - a pickup array that is specifically designed to capture sound from the front of the mic only, while significantly reducing any spill noise in the near vicinity. This means that this mic can be used while in close proximity to instruments or loudspeakers without creating feedback problems.

Featuring a rugged die cast casing, shock-mounted cartridge and coming complete with a self-tensioning swivel mount, the Shure 55SH Series II is a class act.
