Squier 40th Anniversary Precision Bass Guitar - Gold Edition - Lake Placid Blue

When the world cried out for more affordable versions of Fender’s classic guitars, Squier answered the call. 2022 marks the 40th year that Squier has been producing fantastic value for money Fender-inspired (and endorsed) guitars. To commemorate the occasion, Squier has produced a beautiful set of “Gold Edition” versions of the models that they started out with, and this Squier 40th Anniversary Precision Bass Guitar - Gold Edition - is one of them. 

This Precision Bass is every bit as stylish as you would imagine it to be - and then some. It sports the iconic P-Bass body shape and is contoured to the original, comfortable spec. A C-profile Maple neck and 9.5”-radius bound Indian Laurel fingerboard provides a smooth playing surface and the fingerboard's Pearloid block inlays add a touch of class to its look. 

It's easy to see why this Precision Bass is named “Gold Edition”. It features some stunning gold features that any P-Bass fan (or Squier fan) will adore. A striking gold anodised aluminium pickguard is likely to be the first thing that catches your eye, but the pots, jack input, strap buttons, vintage-style tuning machines and 4-saddle bridge with barrel saddles are all gold-plated to match, and the overall effect is spectacular. This P-Bass’ familiar tone is provided by a Fender-Designed split single-coil pickup with alnico 5 magnets.
