Squier 40th Anniversary Precision Bass Guitar - Gold Edition - Black

2022 marks Squier’s 40th year of business and they want to celebrate with you. In 1982, when the world cried out for more affordable versions of Fender’s classic guitars, it was Squier that answered the call and has been producing fantastic value-for-money Fender-inspired (and endorsed) guitars ever since. To commemorate this milestone, Squier has produced a series of “Gold Edition” versions of the models that they first launched with, and this Squier 40th Anniversary Precision Bass Guitar - Gold Edition - is one of them. 

This Precision Bass has always been a stylish guitar but this Gold Edition is absolutely dripping in suave sophistication. Its iconic P-Bass body- shape has been contoured to the original spec for the familiarly comfortable P-bass feel. A C-profile Maple neck and 9.5”-radius bound Indian Laurel fingerboard provides a smooth playing surface and the fingerboard's Pearloid block inlays add a touch of class to its look. 

It's easy to see why this Precision Bass is named “Gold Edition”. It features some stunning gold features that any P-Bass fan (or Squier fan) will adore. A striking gold anodised aluminium pickguard is likely to be the first thing that catches your eye, but the pots, jack input, strap buttons, vintage-style tuning machines and 4-saddle bridge with barrel saddles are all gold-plated to match, and the overall effect is spectacular. This P-Bass’ familiar tone is provided by a Fender-Designed split single-coil pickup with alnico 5 magnets.
