This 100% Maple drum and its Maple wood hoops match the intensity and clarity of a metal snare, cutting through a mix with ease, without compromising any of its woody natural resonance or clear attack.

This 6.5" deep Studio Maple snare features newly-designed, urethane-coated 100% Maple wood hoops. They enhance the organic timbre of the drum and extend its natural resonance in a way a metal hoop simply cannot. This is as apparent in the feel and response of this drum as it is in its sound.

The shell of the Tama SLP Studio Maple Wood Hoop Snare Drum features Tama's Sound Focus Rings, supplying extra stability and consistency to the structure of the shell whilst also enhancing projection and sustain.
