About DeliveryVic Firth’s RUTE-X Heavy Gauge Drum Rods offer all of the feel and response of a drumstick but the sound and volume control of a set of rods. Their stick to rod ratio favours the stick, so the in-hand feel is very similar to your usual playing experience. These Rute’s feature a set of 7 heavy-gauge premium Birch dowels which can be tension-controlled by an adjustable dowel ring, so you can dial in different feels.
Ideal for maintaining as much dynamic scope as possible at low volumes. Vic Firth RUTE-X rods offer a high degree of versatility, still able to offer solid rimshots, and cross sticking. These rods are ideal for any performance setting, whether it be home practice, close-mic studio recording or Perfect for the studio, practice, or any low volume setting.
