Zildjian 14" FX Stack Pair With Mount - Traditional Finish

The Zildjian FX range continues to grow in size and popularity, due to Zildjian’s ability to maintain their signature quality and full bodied sound whilst identifying the unusual combinations and variety of sounds that todays drummers expect.

The FX Stacks are their latest offering - a highly versatile pair of cymbals designed to be either played as a stack or can be set up in a more traditional hat style, which vastly increases the amount of sound options available to the player. The cymbals feature reverse angled edges to provide fuller contact whilst in a hi hat set up, and are light and thin, creating a bright, high pitch, with short sustain and a pleasing tuneful overtone which falls off sharply.

It is this detail that Zildjian bring to their FX range that differentiates it from many of their contemporaries effects cymbals; these cymbals aren’t just effects designed to pepper or emphasize sparingly. They ooze with a rich, melodic quality that players will want to utilise to the full.

In addition to this pair of character infused cymbals, the FX stacks also includes Zildjians Cymbolt mount, designed to easily slip over the threaded rod of most standard cymbal stands so that no additional hardware is required. The mount also serves to adjust the tension of the stack so that players have the additional options -  to fine tune the pitch of the stacks staccato attack and the level of wash created whilst in trashy, splashy hi hat mode.

All in all Zildjian have produced a great sounding addition to their FX range that offers a huge variety of options for the experimental player to explore.

At 14”, these are the second largest option in the FX Stack range, providing a lower pitch to its smaller counterparts. The fx Stack cymbal pairs are also available in 8", 10", 12" and 16" sizes
