Zildjian K Cluster 20" Crash Cymbal - Traditional Finish

The Zildjian K Series is hugely popular, and for us at Wembley Music Centre, it’s a series that just keeps on giving. Introduced at NAMM 2019, the Zildjian K Cluster cymbals have been designed to fulfil the needs of modern drummers, with an increasing need for more unique, and yet useful, sounds.

Though called the Zildjian K Cluster Crash, this cymbal is much more than a crash. It can, of course, achieve the dark crash sounds that have made the K Sweet series so popular and serve this function very well, but there’s more on offer. Using the standard K Series hammering, but with an addition of deeper ‘cluster’ hammering, this cymbal has a trashier character to it. A sound that is becoming more prevalent across the board, this cymbal holds this character while offering it in a versatile package which will sit in all genres comfortably. With this in mind, though the attack is fast and trashy, the sustain is long to comfortably tie together sections. The possibilities don’t end there, however. With this particular cymbal, the 20” version, with the long sustain, it also plays the role of ride cymbal excellently. The stick definition is clear and bright, and yet with the cluster hammering, still remains unique. The result is a cymbal that can really do it all. Though the cymbal has a traditional finish, the bell is unlathed so to offer yet another dimension to carry you through the music. Dirty, funky and exciting, we wouldn’t be surprised if this crash swiftly becomes your go to!
