Returns Policy

If you are a UK/EU consumer, you have the legal right, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 to cancel your order within fourteen working days following your receipt of the goods.

Under certain circumstances the right to return does not apply.

Financed Goods - Goods purchased on finance cannot be returned under the 14-days cooling off period. Financed goods are conditional based sales where the consumer is bound to purchase the goods from the outset but do not own the goods until they have fulfilled all conditions of the contract (typically through complete payment of all financial instalments).

Special Orders - Any order which has been specified or customised to the customer’s specifications. This also includes any item which is not typically stocked by Wembley Music Centre Ltd. and has been ordered in at the request of the customer.

Health and Safety - any product that has come in contact with a customer's ear or mouth, such as microphones, headphones, earphones or product with a mouthpiece that have been used or where the hygienic seal has been separate or broken.

Software, Media and CDs - where the packaging has been unsealed (unless the product is faulty) and copyright policies apply, any product registered via digital or physical means becomes immediately exempt for any returns.

To request a refund (minus any costs incurred for the initial dispatching using our express courier and any costs incurred by WMC for the returning of the order. If your order shipped using our "Free Shipping" promotion, the actual cost of shipping your order will be deducted from your refund), you must notify us (in writing, by telephone or by email) within fourteen days of receiving the item.

Refunds will be credited to the card account with which the order was originally made, but only when returned goods have been received and checked by our warehouse, to ensure that all items are in a new and re-sellable condition. As outlined in the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), failure to return items in their original condition will result in deductions from your refund or refusal of a return. As a result, we may make deductions to your refund for any diminution in value of the returned goods where the handling of goods has "gone beyond the sort of handling that might reasonably be allowed in a store".

If you are returning an item any and all promotional, free or value added items must also be returned in perfect condition. If these items are not returned or are returned damaged or otherwise devalued, we will deduct the replacement cost from your refund.

Please note that shipping discounts will be removed if your full return or partial return takes your order below the free delivery threshold (this only applies for items that have been sent). Orders which have received discounted shipping (for example, free next day shipping) will have to cover the initial express courier dispatching, normally £7.98.

We are not obliged to give you a refund until we receive the products back from you or we receive evidence from you that you have sent them back to us. We strongly recommend you send the products using a secure or trackable method - i.e. Recorded/Special Delivery - and that you retain your proof of postage.

Under certain circumstances, we can arrange to collect your unwanted order. If we are to arrange collection we will deduct the courier fees from your refund. Please contact us on 020 8795 4001 for a quote or to arrange collection of goods.

Please allow 3-5 days from reciept of your returned item for us to process your refund.

Exchanges

If you require a product exchange, please inform us that you wish to send the goods back and provide details of alternative preferred products. Replacement goods will be despatched as soon as the original goods have been received and checked by our warehouse. The card account on which the order was originally made will be credited or debited to the value of the any difference in price and subject to a deduction to cover refurbishment costs if returned goods are found to be unfit for resale. We will also inform you of any additional shipping charges depending on the size and weight of the exchange goods.

In all cases, the customer is responsible for any shipping & collection fees that are incurred.

Goods can be returned as follows:

  • Return the product to us in person (from Monday to Friday, 10-6pm) or send it to us by post or courier. You must include your receipt with the item. The relevant items must be packaged securely and sent so that we receive them within fourteen working days of notice of cancellation. For your protection, we recommend that you use a recorded delivery service. Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the items to us unless we either delivered the item to you in error or if the item is damaged or defective.
  • You must notify us of your intention to return goods by phone on 020 8795 4001 or by email at websales@wembleydrumcentre.com. We may arrange for collection of the item from your residence at your cost.
  • Your product must be complete, unused and in "as new" condition (e.g. if you have opened the box to examine the product you must have done it without marking the product in anyway). It should be returned with the original box, packing and accessories. Pre-recorded videotapes and DVDs must be sealed. Any free gifts received with the product must also be returned.

Return of Faulty Goods

Wherever possible we will respond to your individual circumstances.

Our general guidelines are as follows:

Most products are guaranteed by the manufacturer against faulty materials or workmanship for twelve months or longer. However, this does not include physically interactive products such as sticks, heads, cymbals and strings or valves as found in certain amplifiers.

Physically interactive products, due to their nature and intended usage, are impossible to guarantee for a fixed period. Manufacturers of these types of product issue a three month replacement “good will gesture” subject to investigation (cymbals are twelve months).

The results of an investigation by the manufacturer will be used to establish if breakages and failures are due to use beyond normal wear and tear. On completion of the manufacturer’s investigation, and if the product is found to have had a manufacturing fault, a replacement will be issued to Wembley Music Centre. While it is always at the manufacturer's discretion, we will act as their agents to seek a repair or replacement as soon as possible.

In the event that a fault occurs within 28 days of delivery, an exchange or refund may be offered. After 28 days any faulty products will be handled in line with individual manufacturer’s regular warranty procedures and will not automatically qualify for a refund.

After 28 days and in all cases, Wembley Music Centre will not be liable for any postage costs incurred by the customer for collection of faulty goods or delivery of replacement goods. If an item does develop a fault after 28 days we can arrange collection at cost to the customer of £15 for any single item up to 30kg. Please call for costs on larger items.

In all cases Wembley Music Centre must be informed of a fault in writing before returning any item. We will then contact you to arrange collection of the faulty goods and issue a returns number.

Please note that this policy is invalidated if the goods are not in original condition or if the fault is due to alterations or misuse by the customer. In all cases any goods returned must be accompanied with purchase sales receipt / invoice.

Any extended warranty offered by any manufacturer must be arranged by the customer. We are not responsible for organising such warranties. We can provide additional receipts upon request.

THIS RETURNS POLICY DOES NOT AFFECT YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS.

Recycling Electrical Products at Wembley Music Centre (WEE regulations)

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive is now UK law. The legislation aims to make producers pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electrical equipment. The regulations also mean that suppliers of equipment like high street shops and internet retailers must allow consumers to return their waste equipment free of charge.

The amount of WEEE we throw away is increasing by around 5% each year, making it the fastest growing waste stream in the UK. Much of the UK’s WEEE ends up in landfill, where the lead and other toxins it contains can cause soil and water contamination. This can have a harmful effect on natural habitat, wildlife and also human health. Many electrical items that we throw away can be repaired or recycled. Recycling items helps to save our natural finite resources and also reduces the environmental and health risks associated with sending electrical goods to landfill.

Distributors of new Electric and Electronic Equipment (EEE) have a part to play in reducing the amount of WEEE going into landfill sites.

From now on all new electrical products that can be recycled will carry the 'crossed out wheelie bin' to help you remember to recycle them. For more information on recycling and how to minimise your environmental impact click here

Where can I recycle?

DCFs will be nationwide and is likely that your 'local tip' has been upgraded to provide this facility. To find your nearest DCF simply click here. The recycle-more website allows you to enter your postcode and you will then be directed to your nearest DCF. More DCFs will be added over time so even if there is not one local to you now there soon will be.

Wembley Music Centre’s WEEE Returns Policy
