The drums feature durable, tightly-woven mesh heads that can be tension adjusted for a real-feel response that suits you. The 8” kick pad is larger than most of the Surge Mesh SE’s contemporaries have to offer, enabling the use of double pedals if that's your preferred style. Both the Crash and Ride are served by nicely-sized 10” pads that swing with a good weight and feature grab-to-mute choking functionality. The 10” Hats pad is controlled by a responsive and expressive pedal that reacts well to the nuances of your footwork. All of the pads are supported by an easy-to-use quick-locking four-post rack that will offer a good degree of stability and a great deal of positioning options. 

The Surge Drum Module offers a wide range of kits made up of hundreds of great-quality drum and percussion sounds for you to explore. There are 40 ready-to-play kits with popular sounds from both classic and modern eras, but you also have the option to edit all of the sounds to your preference or even create your own kits from the module's impressive library of 385 drum, cymbal, and percussion sounds. To help with your learning, the module also offers a handy metronome, built-in performance recording and playback features, 60 play-along tracks, and the ability to plug in your phone or other media device via an AUX input to access and play along with any of your favourite songs from your personal playlists. The module itself is well-designed and easy to use. Its intuitive kit-configuration button layout is extremely user-friendly and its backlit LCD screen is clear to see and easy to navigate. 

The Alesis Surge Mesh Special Edition Electronic Drum Kit comes with pretty much everything you need to start drumming immediately; it includes a cable snake, a pair of drumsticks, a drum key, and even an impressive single-beater Alesis bass drum pedal. The only other item you will require is a good sturdy throne (sold separately), a variety of which can be found in our hardware section.
