Barnes & Mullins Rathbone No.2 R2K Orchestra Double Top Koa Acoustic Guitar is a vintage-style guitar with a very well-hidden feature - a technologically advanced soundboard with increased strength, resonant and voluminous qualities. 

This ‘double-top’s’ increased strength allows it to be thinner without losing structural integrity, which is the key to the guitar's enhanced properties. It is constructed of two super-fine layers of Koa with a Carbon Fibre mesh sandwiched in-between. The ultra-light mesh gives the top more strength and flexibility than traditionally made tops, which in turn optimises resonance, response, power and projection, resulting in amazing tone and playability.

Named after the Rathbone Street premises from which the company traded back in 1900s London, this brand is a celebration of the company's rich heritage.

The R2K is a vintage-style orchestra-size guitar inspired by the old concert hall models. Its body is small enough to handle easily but retains a great deal of power and projection, while its scale is akin to contemporary designs. This gives the R2K a punchy sound with plenty of power.
