Boss Cube Street II Portable Amplifier

Boss’ Cube Street II Portable Amplifier is the second, more advanced generation of the acclaimed Cube Street amp. Stronger and lighter than its predecessor, the Cube Street II is the ultimate street performance amp; extremely portable, powerful, and with the option to run on batteries, this amp will support you wherever you decide to put on a show. Even though it is super-convenient, this amp does not compromise on power and sound, delivering high-quality output with brilliant projection. 

The next evolutionary step in the Roland Cube Street lineage, the Cube Street II has been rebranded and now comes bearing the BOSS name (Boss being Roland’s guitar effects pedal division). Aside from its more user-friendly structure, this battery-powered amp also has some new enhancements under its hood. For a start, its power output has been doubled to 10 total watts so you can ensure your performance is heard even in noisy environments such as train stations or busy commercial streets - and if you don't need as much volume, simply switching the Cube Street II into Eco mode will reduce its output and extend its battery life.

The ultimate solo-performers travel amplifier, the Boss Cube Street II features dual channels that allow you to plug in a microphone as well as your instrument, so you have all of the amplification you need in one unit. You can also take advantage of the amp's Bluetooth capability and use the optional Bluetooth Audio MIDI Dual Adaptor (BT-DUAL)* to wirelessly stream backing tracks from your phone or other mobile media devices and create a full band sound. The BT-DUAL adapter* and CUBE Street II Editor app also allows you to remotely control your amp using your mobile device, such as:

• • Customising the onboard effects with a wide selection of parameters.
• • Swapping out the harmony function on the Mic/Instrument channel with chorus, phaser, flanger, tremolo, or touch wah effect.
• • Changing the chorus effect on the Guitar/Mic channel to a phaser, flanger, tremolo, or touch wah.
• • Setting the input source for the looper and extending the recording time to 90 seconds (mono).
• • Assigning optional footswitches to control a variety of functions.
• • Applying a ducking effect to automatically lower the volume of background music when speaking.
• • Set up the Stereo Link and Stereo Input functions.
• • Saving custom setups for different gigs as Live Sets.
• • Checking the current battery level.

The Cube Street II is packed with brilliant features for optimised sound quality and user-friendly functionality such as a dedicated three-band EQ and reverb and a chorus/delay effect on the Guitar/Mic channels. A vocal harmony function on the Mic/Instrument channel enables you to single-handedly produce vocal harmonies that will wow your audiences and fill out your sound. The Harmonies are cleverly and intuitively generated in real-time as you sing, based on either your guitar chord work or working to a set key. And if you also get your hands on one of the optional FS-5U, FS-6, or FS-7 footswitches**, you can easily switch to and from vocal harmonic mode to achieve great dynamic performances. 

Don't think that the Cube Street II is limited to just singer/guitarists. Boss has made this amp to be as versatile as possible for a host of different musicians and performers. The Mic/Instrument channel features a combo jack for either an XLR balanced mic or an instrument such as a keyboard or Roland’s Aerophone. The Guitar/Mic channel is equipped with a standard ¼-” jack so you can plug your guitar straight in and access seven different acoustic and electric amp types - and this input also has settings for a line-level instrument or unbalanced mic. There are even outputs that enable you to link to other Cube Street II’s and PA systems if you want or need the boost. 

The Cube Street II also features an i-Cube jack that enables you to link to iOS devices. Use the i-Cube Link and USB to send the amp’s audio output to video, livestream, or external music production apps and on-the-spot capture. The i-CUBE Link jack provides a mono output and connects to most phones and tablets with the included cable, while USB supports a stereo digital connection to a computer or an iOS device.***
