Following in the footsteps of the successful Boss Katana Artist, the Boss Katana Artist MkII 100W 1 x 12” Combo delivers the same brilliant features as its predecessor, but with even more capability and a great step up in performance. It features optimised amp models that broaden the Katana’s already amazing library and generates them through a custom Waza 12” speaker with an extra degree of panache. The Katana Artist MkII also features a re-designed cabinet with a semi-closed back, new dedicated external control inputs and Tube Logic Architecture.

The Boss Katana Artist MkII 100w combo provides five optimised amp voicings, each with a distinctively different character and a further five variations. This expansion allows you to shape a huge amount of different tones for a wide variety of musical styles. Clean, Crunch and Lead voices cover a broad spectrum of tone and expression, ranging from the purest clean to soaring, high-gain lead with plenty in-between. Based upon the BOSS Waza amplifier, the Brown setting takes you up a notch and lets you create some amazing old-school metal sounds for you to nod your mullet to. For those looking for a less “rawk” sound, Acoustic mode has been designed to enhance the sound of your electro-acoustic guitar. There is a voice here to suit all styles, ideal for artists who require an eclectic mix of sounds.

The Katana Artist MkII gives you the power to completely customise your sound. You get over 60 brilliant effects to choose from. Booster/Mod, Delay/FX, and Reverb knobs let you control each effect type and you can switch between each effect using colour-coded buttons. Tone setting memory allows you to store and recall your user-made tones in eight tone settings, each of which can be instantly recalled with the touch of a button. All of the Katana Artist MkII’s effects and settings can be customised by simply connecting the amp to your computer  - via USB -  and using Boss’s amazing Tone Studio software. This powerful, easy to use Tone Studio provides you with comprehensive control over the amps settings, and you can also upload your own creations or download other customised sounds via the Boss Tone Central website, an online hub for the guitar community used by many professional guitarists from all around the globe. 

This brilliant amp’s high level of versatility is pushed even further skywards by the inclusion of Tube Logic Architecture - the power behind some brilliant, authentic tube warmth. A Power Control enables you to vary the power input so you can achieve fully cranked-up high-gain tones even at low volumes, dual amp expansion - so you can link two independently controlled Katana Artist MkII’s together and blend some amazing stereo sounds, global EQ control and a three-way contour switch that lets you can shape the amps core tone with ease.
