The Epiphone ES-335 Figured Top Semi Hollowbody Electric Guitar is a fitting tribute to the Gibson classic, sharing its style, tone and immensely pleasurable playability. It generates a familiar sound as created by the original models on a huge amount of records cut in the ‘50s and ‘60s, a warm, smooth tone that helped to form the sound of blues and rock and roll. 

This ES-335 owes its warm, resonant foundation to a combination of factors. Firstly, its body design; its hollow chambers produce that iconic full-bodied glow of acoustic ambience, while its solid centre block tames the guitars wild nature and helps to maximise sustain. Secondly, the choice of tonewood used; layered Maple capped with beautiful AAA flamed Maple veneer makes up the back and top of the ES-335’s body, with layered Maple sides and solid Maple block. 

This guitar has a sweet Mahogany neck with a rounded “C” profile that makes for an extremely comfortable playing experience. A smooth 12”-radius Indian Laurel fingerboard and its 22 medium-jumbo frets provide the perfect platform for both lead and rhythm work. All of the tonewoods used work in perfect unison to create a cohesive vintage tone and their aesthetics pull together just as well, with single-ply body and fingerboard binding, a classic Epiphone Crown headstock inlay and classic block fingerboard inlays all thrown in to complete an amazing look.
