About DeliveryOn paper, the Epiphone Prophecy Extura Electric Guitar is an ambitious and unique idea - in reality, it is a work of art. The Epiphone Prophecy range is a series of new designs inspired by the iconic Gibson designs, yet with a twist; each guitar takes different design elements from Gibson’s classic body shapes and mish-mashes them together to create some truly unique hybrid designs. The Extura combines the look of the Gibson Explorer with the narrow waist and deep cutaway of the Gibson Futura.
As per the spec of Many Gibson classics, Epiphone has created their Prophecy range using only the finest, richest tonewoods available. The Extura’s body and neck are crafted from Mahogany, capped with an AAA Flame Maple top and an Ebony fingerboard respectively. The neck features an ergonomic, asymmetrical SlimTaper design that feels extremely comfortable in hand and promotes fast, effortless play. The fingerboard's 12”-radius runway is home to 24 jumbo frets, the upper zone of which are made easily accessible by the necks contoured heel. This is an extremely comfortable, playable guitar that promotes fast and expressive play and a sound ideal for both studio and stage.
The Extura ‘s voice comes courtesy of two multi-voice Fishman Fluence humbucking pickups that features three unique voices, easily selected via the guitar’s push-pull volume and tone pots. Choose from warm, vintage-style PAF-like sound, or modern-sounding, overdriven humbucker tones… or the shimmering clarity of single-coil, hum-free sound. This amazing guitar also comes equipped with Grover-locking Rotomatic tuners, Epiphone’s LockTone Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece, a Graph Tech NuBone nut and an aged gloss finish.
