Epiphone's Prophecy series is a range of iconic Gibson designs with a few innovative features that take playability to the next level. All of the guitars in the Prophecy series are kitted out with Fishman Fluence pickups and advanced circuitry, a combination that provides plenty of sonic options. They also feature new and improved asymmetrical neck for enhanced playability and the smoothest play up and down the frets. The Epiphone SG Prophecy also features a ½” hard Maple cap with a stunning AAA Flame Maple Veneer, finished in a jaw-dropping Black Aged Gloss. 

Following the design of the original SG, the Epiphone SG Prophecy’s body is accurately shaped from Mahogany tonewood, known to imbue guitars with a rich timbre. The only downside to Mahogany is that it is a very dense, heavy wood, and classic SG’s were a touch on the weighty side, which could cause fatigue in the player, impeding their performance. The SG Prophecy successfully combats this issue. Its body is subject to Epiphone’s  'Ultra-Modern' weight-relief system that does a brilliant job reducing the instrument’s weight whilst enhancing its tone and resonance.

Even though the ½” Maple cap and AAA Flamed Maple veneer already justifies the Prophecy’s price tag, Epiphone has seen fit to equip it with even more amazing high-quality features, making this guitar an amazing value-for-money bargain. the only classy feature on this fine instrument.  Custom binding, an asymmetrical shaped neck, ebony fingerboard and Grover locking tuners all contribute to a guitar that far outperforms other guitars in its price bracket.

A thin-tapered asymmetrical neck is unbelievably smooth and provides a modern playing feel. Combined with an Ebony fingerboard featuring jumbo frets, the resulting playing experience is extremely comfortable and very efficient.
