Evans’ 16" EMAD 1 Clear Bass Drum Batter Head is the smallest version of the acclaimed Evans head that offers players the opportunity  to adjust the attack and focus of their bass drum to suit their preference without the need to retune the drum.

This durable skin features Evans’ renowned Externally Mounted Adjustable Damping (EMAD) system. This revolutionary technology enables you to select between different foam damping rings of varied mass that can then be easily mounted to the exterior face of the head, achieving the exact level of damping that you require. EMAD provides an incredibly easy and convenient way to alter your sound.

The Emad 1 is constructed from a single ply of 10mil film and coated in a micro-thin layer of lacquer for extra protection and increased durability. This lacquer finish also enhances this  head’s amazingly well-balanced combination of power, attack and low-end thump.
