Fender California Series Newporter Classic Electro Acoustic Guitar - Aged Cognac Burst

The Fender Newporter Classic is a bold little beauty with a huge dose of charisma. With its back and sides crafted from Solid Mahogany and featuring a solid Spruce top, the Newporter’s smaller-scale body generates a fantastic balanced sound with oodles of presence and a great degree of power.  Lightweight and easy-to-handle, the Newporter is ideal for practice, and the addition of a specially designed premium Fishman preamp system makes it a great guitar for performers.  

Featuring quartersawn scalloped X bracing, a tilt-back 6-in-line headstock and an upgraded bone nut and saddle, the Newporter has amazing sustain and resonance and although it sports the models original 1960’s aesthetic, it offers a more modern tonal flavour and playability. Its comfortable slim-taper "C"-shaped Mahogany neck feels more in line with an electric guitar than an acoustic, making it seem smoother and thinner. The tilt-back headstock increases the break angle over the nut which increases sustain and also leans toward an electric guitar’s style.

Complete with tuner, frequency (bass, middle and treble) and phase controls, the Newporter’s Fishman preamp system has been designed in conjunction with Fender and especially honed for the model's body shape. Fender has also included a deluxe gig-bag to sweeten an already saccharin deal. It features comfortable padded backpack straps and multiple pockets while its exterior is protected by durable outer material and a rubber boot for drop protection.
