A worthy addition to the Les Paul legacy, the Gibson Les Paul Classic Electric Guitar produces the same sought-after tones of the early LP’s, and although it has been optimised for the modern player, Gibson has done a fine job of updating its performance without compromising its “classic” qualities.

This Les Paul Classic rich Mahogany body is topped with bright Maple - an ideal combo of tonewoods that form the legendary warm and resonant foundation of the classic Les Paul sound - but also made the guitars infamously heavy. This Les Paul Classic overcomes that issue with its innovative “Swiss-cheese” 9-hole body design that significantly reduces weight without compromising tone or resonance. The lighter weight provides increased comfort while playing, prolonging performance and reducing fatigue. 

An asymmetrical slim tapered Mahogany neck is topped by a smooth Rosewood fingerboard designed to ease tension and stress on the hand so you can be whipping up and down the fingerboard for as long as you like. The Les Paul Classic’s 22 medium-jumbo frets have been subject to Plek Pro’s optimisation technology. This fret-levelling process is reserved for high-end guitars, helping to eliminate fret-buzz and intonation problems. 

To recreate the classic tone of the original Les Paul guitars, Gibson has fitted this guitar with their great Burstbucker pickups. These snarling humbuckers do a fantastic job of generating the much-loved LP voice that we all know and love. There are also some great electronic switching options to be found;  push/pull volume pots function as coil tappers to allow the isolation of your pickups, conveniently letting you switch from single coil to humbucker in an instant, while push/pull tone pots offer control over phase-reversal and pure-bypass of the bridge pickup tone control.

The Gibson Les Paul Classic Electric Guitar also features a Tune-o-matic bridge, a vintage-style Grover Rotomatic tuners and gold top-hat knobs for those looking for retro appeal. The Gibson Les Paul Classic pays great service to its namesake and does a brilliant job of recreating the sought-after Gibson character whilst remaining relevant to the modern player.

This guitar also comes with a protective hardcase.
