Gibson Les Paul Classic - Heritage Cherry Sunburst

This all-new Les Paul Classic possesses an amazing level of playability and does a fine job of producing the long-sought after authentic tone of its early predecessor. Its rich mahogany body / bright Maple top combo is a perfect marriage of tonewoods, providing the naturally warm and resonant foundation for the Classic Les Paul sound - however, the original Les Paul's are also infamously heavy. To combat this, Gibson have utilised their 9-hole weight-relieving ‘Swiss-cheese’ design on the Les Paul Classic, which results in a big reduction in weight without compromising tone or resonance. This Gibson Les Paul Classic’s lighter weight makes for a more comfortable playing experience, allowing you to prolong performance and reduce fatigue.

To complement the great tone generated by its body, the Classic also features an asymmetrical slim tapered Mahogany neck capped with a smooth Rosewood fingerboard; a great design that provides the player with more ergonomic playability which eases tension and reduces stress on the hand, making it easier to fly around the fingerboard and produce amazing riffs and solos. The Rosewood fingerboard possesses 22 medium-jumbo frets which have been optimally levelled using Plek Pro’s amazing technology. It's a pricey procedure reserved for high-end guitars such as this one, but the results speak for themselves - this fretboard feels ultra-comfy and the process considerably reduces any fret-buzz or intonation issues.

Gibson have gone to great lengths to recreate the Classic tone of the original Les Paul guitars, as evident by the inclusion of their fantastic Burstbucker pickups that have been designed to accurately reproduce the true tone of early PAF humbuckers. These Burstbuckers produce those sweet musical highs and snarling humbucker sounds, and best of all, this classic features some great electronic switching options. Convenient push/pull volume pots double up as coil tappers, allowing you to isolate the type of pickup sound you require at the push or pull of a button going from single coil to humbucker instantly. This same functionality also features on the tone pots, offering control over phase-reversal, and pure-bypass of the bridge pickup tone control.

Also featuring a self-lubricating Graph Tech nut, Tune-o-matic bridge, vintage-style Grover Rotomatic tuners, and gold top hat knobs, this guitar really delivers a vintage vibe. The Gibson Les Paul Classic is a great homage to its early namesake and does a fine job of recreating that sought-after early Gibson sound and feel whilst remaining relevant by today's standards.
