Its chrome over brass shell with original centre ridge design is constructed from 1.1mm brass , rolled and accurately welded with a robust, durable seam. Its structural integrity is supported by the centre ridge design and 45 degree bearing edges are applied before the entire drum is chrome plated. Diecast hoops are added, as are Permatone drum heads, coated on the batter side, dot/clear on the reso, which picks up the sensitive and voluminous 42-strand snare wire brilliantly. 8 double-sided lugs, a  lightning throw-off, Stop Sign logo badge and a snap-in key holder are also present.
