Mapex Black Panther 'Persuader' 14 x 6.5" Hammered Brass Snare Drum

The  'Persuader' 14 x 6.5" Hammered Brass Snare Drum is one of Mapex’s new Black Panther models of 2020, and oh boy, is this a monster of a snare. To earn a place within the Black Panther collective, a snare has to be an absolute beast, and this drum is more than worthy of the accolade. 

The Persuader is a Panther through and through, yet features some great new tweaks that push the series to new heights. It's 1.2mm hammered brass shell makes for an awesome strike with immense power and projection, and combined with a new quad-vented design,  gives it a dry, dark voice. 

The shell is optimised for maximum head-control and consistent tuning. Its rolled SONIClear bearing edges sit perfectly flat and true, maximising contact with the heads, resulting in an enhanced tuning range and a full-bodied, lower fundamental pitch. To complement the SONIClear bearing edges and enhance their effect, the Persuader is equipped with Sonic Saver Hoops that fit perfectly and clamp the heads with even tension. 

The Persuader also features a cylinder drive snare strainer and butt-end adjuster with a self-lubricating bearing which enables smooth engagement of your snare wires while smart microlock adjustment gives you comprehensive control over your snare settings.
