The R3BCE shares common features with many other Grand Auditorium-sized guitars, but two major features make it somewhat unique. First of all, let's talk about its beautifully grained, red-hued body. The body is constructed of Becote, a hard tonewood indigenous to Mexico that delivers a warm, articulate tone - whilst looking absolutely stunning. 

The second fantastic feature is its “Double Top” soundboard. Instead of the usual solid wood soundboard that is traditionally used, Rathbone has equipped this guitar with a layered soundboard that comprises two super-thin layers of Becote on either side of a layer of latticed carbon fibre. This allows the soundboard to be thinner, yet stronger than a solid piece of Becote, enhancing its resonance, volume, and sensitivity. 

The R3BCE is a great all-rounder that players of all standards will enjoy. It possesses the same scale length as an Orchestra model, making it easier to handle, while its body shares dimensions similar to a Dreadnought, maintaining a rich and full bass tone and a clear, articulate voice. It also features a Belcat electronics system with a 3-band EQ, so you can hone your sound before amping up.
