The Rathbone No.7 RS7SM Solid Spruce/Mahogany Acoustic Guitar is an orchestra-sized model with a beautiful, traditional sound. Crafted from all-solid tonewoods, this guitar has a responsive and voluminous tone and a gorgeous aesthetic. 

The RS7SM’s back and sides utilise solid Mahogany to generate an underlying richness, while its sparkling energy is provided by a solid Sitka Spruce top. This is a traditional tonewood combination known to yield a warm, sweet tone, which, when coupled with an OM scale, makes for a full-bodied, well-balanced swell with great projection, so listeners at the back of the room will still experience every one of your subtle nuances. 

In contrast to popular belief, the OM derives its disproportionately voluminous sound from its scale rather than its body size. The RS7SM’s body is actually quite average and easy to handle; it is the longer 14-fret scale length that enhances and enriches its tone, volume and projection. Being longer, the strings are put under greater tension than on guitars with shorter necks, resulting in a more dynamic, punchy tone.
