Roland TD-17KV2 V-Drums Series 2 Electronic Drum Kit

The TD-17KV2 features some brilliant upgraded features and is the most affordable model in the TD-17 range. This kit is ideal for places where space is sparse; its small footprint and compact frame is easy to house yet still allow the kit components to be laid out in a well-spaced splay to promote a natural technique.

The star of the show though is the all-new TD-17 2.0 sound module. This powerful brain carries a host of dynamic, natural-sounding voices, new kits and expanded effects, including adjustable reverb and compression functionality. There are two additional inputs for future expansion possibilities, and Bluetooth functionality so you can connect wirelessly to your smartphone and stream your favourite tracks to play along to in your cans. It's also great for learning, offering plenty of practice aids and warm-up modes to keep you inspired, match-fit and ready to rock. 

As if all of the onboard goodies aren't enough, there are plenty more to be found via the Roland Cloud, an online source containing a vast library of sounds, samples, and artist kits - all of which you will gain access to when you purchase your TD-17KV2. Purchasers also receive a Free Melodics for V-Drums tutorial software package for macOS and Windows.

To match the outstanding quality of the new TD-17 module, Roland has upgraded a few pieces of hardware too. You still get the fantastic PDX-12 12” double-meshed snare pad and PDX-8 8” mesh-head toms (with head and rim triggering), as well as the responsive KD-10 kick pad and CY-5/FD-9 hi-hats/controller respectively. The crash and ride cymbals have received some improvements though; both the CY-12C-T and the CY-14R-T have a new, thinner profile that helps them respond and move more like a traditional cymbal than ever before. The ride is also a little larger than the ride that came as standard with the TD-17 KV1, helping to achieve a more natural feel.

This new TD-17KV2 has somehow managed to exceed expectations put upon it by the high standard of its predecessor while remaining very affordable indeed. We highly recommend it for players of all standards.
